Stellar jet in Sh2-284
James Webb Space Telescope
The NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope recently imaged an extremely large stellar jet at the outskirts of our Milky Way galaxy in the proto-cluster Sh2-284. This Herbig-Haro (HH) object, jets of plasma shooting out from newly formed stars, is 8 light-years across.
